Vineyard Wind South’s Construction & Operations Plan is currently under review by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), the lead federal permitting agency for offshore wind energy projects. 

On June 28, 2021 BOEM announced it was publishing a Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and opening a 30 day public comment period during which three virtual public scoping meetings would be held. The scoping meetings are meant to inform BOEM’s preparation of the EIS.
